hi :~) just wanted to say i love your blog and im really glad you got to meet taylor :) (esp cause i read that thing where you went to five shows and paid for everything) thats really cool :)
Thank you SO much!!!

Thank you SO much!!!
I just wanted to let you all know how much I disagree with this. To an extent, I believe in not taking away the opportunity from others. But over here, pretty much if you can afford to go to a concert, you will get tickets. If an artist plays multiple shows, usually the second and third ones take a while to sell out. Unless you’re P!nk or One Direction and then everything sells out and you play like seventeen thousand shows in a month.
But for me with Taylor, I went to five shows on the Speak Now Tour. Everyone else I knew who really wanted to go, got tickets. I know some of those annoying people who complain because they don’t want to be in general admission but they also don’t want seats back further than (insert row that’s super close to the stage here). And I know that some of those people did miss out. But everyone who really wanted to go and was allowed to go, went. And yeah, I went to five shows. But I also saved my money and paid for everything myself and made the decision to fly to Sydney as well. And I think it’s better that tickets go to fans than to scalpers or people that don’t really like Taylor.

Uhm. This is really hilarious because I met Taylor in a meet & greet before the show in Australia. She does them everywhere (in fact the only place that I’m certain she didn’t do one is Melbourne on the 3rd night because they packed up the T-Party room to send it to New Zealand).
You can’t just buy your way into the meet & greet though. It doesn’t matter if you live in Nashville or Los Angeles or London or Sydney or wherever. Taylor has always said she will never SELL meet and greets. Occasionally I’ve seen one or two auctioned for charity, but you’d have to be like a millionaire to win those. And speaking of that, WINNING is pretty much the only way you can get into them.
You can win through radio stations, promoters, and even Taylor Connect sometimes (they will look for dedicated fans if they have spaces in the meet & greet). And the only other way to get in is personal connections pretty much. Or sometimes if you get to the venue early & they still have spaces, they will have people hand them out at the venue, provided there aren’t many fans around.
